Matthew 26:37-38
37He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled.
38Then he said to them, My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.
Matthew 26:40-41
40Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. Couldn't you men keep watch with me for one hour? he asked Peter.
41Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
2 Kings 6:9-12
9The man of God sent word to the king of Israel: Beware of passing that place, because the Arameans are going down there.
10So the king of Israel checked on the place indicated by the man of God. Time and again Elisha warned the king, so that he was on his guard in such places.
11This enraged the king of Aram. He summoned his officers and demanded of them, Tell me! Which of us is on the side of the king of Israel?
12None of us, my lord the king, said one of his officers, but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom.
2 Kings 6:17
17And Elisha prayed, Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see. Then the Lord opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
Matthew 6:8
8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
Colossians 4:3-6
3And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.
4Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.
