Scripture
John 15:13
13Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.
Joshua 23:6
6Be very strong; be careful to obey all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, without turning aside to the right or to the left.
Joshua 23:11-13
11So be very careful to love the Lord your God.
12But if you turn away and ally yourselves with the survivors of these nations that remain among you and if you intermarry with them and associate with them,
13then you may be sure that the Lord your God will no longer drive out these nations before you. Instead, they will become snares and traps for you, whips on your backs and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from this good land, which the Lord your God has given you.
1 John 2:5
5But if anyone obeys his word, love for God Or [word, God's love] is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him:
2 Chronicles 7:14
14if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Matthew 5:14-16
14You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
16In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Romans 5:8
8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
