Core Values

The following statements represent the core values of Trinity Church of the Nazarene. We desire that these statements define and drive our relationships with each other, as well as the ministry we seek to accomplish.

We Value Scripture: We believe that the anointed preaching and teaching of God’s Holy Word is the catalyst for genuine and lasting change in the lives of individuals and the church. (2 Tim 3:16-17, Heb 4:12, James 1:23-25)

We Value the Unchurched: We believe that everyone matters to God, and should therefore, matter to us. We are committed to making the most of every opportunity by sharing the good news of Christ’s love and salvation to as many as possible. (Matthew 18:14, Luke 15)

We Value Relevancy: We believe that The Church should be relevant to the culture in which we live while remaining true to what God’s Word teaches. We seek to communicate the timeless message of God’s love through ministries and activities that meet the needs of today’s world. (1 Corinthians 9:19-23)

We Value Authenticity: We believe that followers of Christ should model authenticity and strive for continual growth in in their relationships with God and one another. (Ephesians 4:25-26, 32, Hebrews 12:1, Philippians 1:6)

We Value Loving Relationships: We believe that loving relationships should permeate every aspect of church life and that the church should be an example of unity through love-driven ministry; ministry accomplished in teams and intentional relationship building. (1 Corinthians 13, Luke 10:1, Nehemiah 3, John 13:34-35)
